IOS Floor Planner Design App

Description of requirements/features: This project is concerned with the creation of an iOS application for a room design tool. The attached software specification outlines many of the necessary requirements. The deliverable should be a new, self-contained product intended for use on the iOS platform. While the mobile application is the main focus of the project, there is also a server-side component which will be responsible for database and synchronization services. The scope of the project encompasses both server- and client-side functionalities, so both aspects are covered in detail in the attached specification.

Ultimately, this application should allow users of the app from their iOS device to produce 2D floor plans of commercial and residential buildings. The user should be able to select from a variety of room templates and arrange objects to as to arrive at a finished floor plan. The app will launch with an inbuilt library of furniture/templates in addition to features which allow users to upload images as furniture to their account or to a global shared library. The plans should be exportable to a variety of common image and document formats and also shareable on social media sites such as Facebook.

The motivation for the app is to assist non-designers to create semi-professional 2D plans with no design guidance.
