IFrame resize within Wordpress or Dynamic php

We wish to introduce some functionality into the white space on any selected WordPress page.

The functionality is that someone enters their postcode, town or county in the search field, the database is queried and the corresponding data returned below the search field within the same page.

We can consider having the search field and returning data within an iFrame if the iFrame can be made responsive so that it adjusts to height changes automatically for the returned data, or if you can offer a solution that brings back the data dynamically into the page using php or any other language we will consider.
