To whom it may concern,
I am looking for someone to make changes to a website I have recently had developed. This could lead to ongoing work with the site. You may need to go onto the site before the following makes sense.
The first thing I need is for the site to moved to a new server. I would like advice on how I can be in control of the hosting (my previous web developer currently hosts it).
I’ll list below what we need done asap:
• I need the site copied and moved over to a new server.
• My new web developer will need to be able to work with my SEO provider.
• Make sure the site works on all browsers and all versions. At the moment I know that it does not work on mobiles.
Changes to the actual site:
• The “log out” button does not log you out. It takes you to a page that allows you to click another button that logs you. This needs to be changed so that the “log out” button logs you out directly.
• When you click the “post a job” tab, it takes you to a page where you have to go through a long registration process. I would like it to take you to a page where you can fill in the job details, followed by minimal personal details. Mybuilder has a perfect example of this. The fields would need changed to tie in with ours obviously.
• The system has two account types on it just now. Gold and silver accounts. Both accounts get profile pages, but only Gold accounts can inquire to jobs. We now want one visible account for the workers. This allows them a profile page (which is effectively their advert) and the ability to inquire to jobs. We would need PayPal or something similar set up for this too.
• The users posting jobs should not have a profile page or be able to inquire to jobs. They should however be able to review people that have worked for them and be able to post jobs again without re-registering.
• I would like the community page changed to a “search directory” page. On this page the user should be able to type in the type of help (from a drop down menu) they are looking for and the geographical area as well. I imagine the area would be from a drop down menu too. This would then give them a list of results for the user to click on. They will then be able to view the workers profile/advert.
• Because of the above change, the criteria when a worker registers would need to include the geographical area in which that worker is willing to work in.
• There will be some changes to how the home page is laid out.
