HTML Parser - VBscript

We're looking for an experience VBscripter to write an HTML parser to extract data from a website. The script should run every day (using the scheduler) and insert the data into a database (mysql/ms sql)

The script should be coded so that it can then be manipulated at a later date to extract data from other websites of similar nature just by varying a few lines of code. We do not want the code to search from blocks of code within each site and manipulate accordingly, a powerful parser is expected.

What will be extracted:
1) Price
2) Title
3) Quantity left

What will be inserted into the database:
1) Date
2) Source name
3) Title
4) Price
5) Product Detail URL
6) Quantity left

Each HTML page will display about 40-50 products. All products will have the same identifiers in the HTML code, the parser should be able to pick up all the relevant data from the HTML source code (no flash, nothing fancy - simple HTML), clean up and insert into the database.

What to consider:
1) Data may not change from day to day, parser should check the database and perform an update (to update quantity left) or insert (should be product be new) with the relevant data
2) No paging on the site - all data needed is available from a single source page
3) Script should be easily replicated to perform the same functions on several other sites for the future.

Technology used:
- Vbscript -> ideally a .vbs we can link to the cron
- MSSQL/MySQL

We will consider other programming languages if strong enough cases on using them are put forward.
