Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
We currently use UKFast hosted/shared MS Exchange and have a website hosted on a shared server with Strato.
Exchange:
We have a shared Address Book, 4 Public Folders (including 4 alias) and 4 personal mailboxes (title with name as alias). The personal mailboxes have an associated calandar and contacts.
Website:
The current website is written in PHP and hosted on a shared platform by Strato. A content manager is not currently used. The website has a SSL for an online booking form which sends the form via email with a PDF attachment (to us and the customer). There is also a link to an external calendar booking system.
We are considering migrating both the MS Exchange capability and the website to MS Office 360 or a similar service. Initially we need advice as to the merits and costs of migration, together with a timeline. Ideally we would wish to use a website content manager to allow future updates to be undertaken by us.
Key questions are (in relation to MS Office 360 or a similar service):
- Does it allow a shared Address Book and Public Folders?
- Can we use an alias on each email account?
- How will exisiting Exchange data be transfered?
- Does it have a content manager?
- Can an SSL be used?
- How will the booking form be handled?
Once agreed the work will need to be carried out and the website transfered. After that we would like SEO work undertaken to raise our profile of natural search results.
