Homepage Updating Wordpress

I need to update my homepage on my website and make my homepage stand out! The layout just on my homepage I'm not completely happy with and want to make it look more stylist in terms of the layout (looks quite basic at the moment as in the text below and the contact forms! I want this to catch visitors eyes, make them explore the site and also add an email subscribe form to the homepage also!
