Help with LTD company accounts bookeeping.

I'm looking for someone to give me 101 in small business accounting. I do a lot of my business on PPH, I have a ltd company registered since January 25th and have not done any bookeeping. I am now trying to do it retrospectively I have done some freelance PPH work for a few months before I registered the company and am completely confused of when I should start my books from etc.. I know I have dates like the following

Last Accounts Made Up To: (NO ACCOUNTS FILED)
Next Accounts Due: 25/10/2014
Last Return Made Up To:
Next Return Due: 22/02/2014

And would like help knowing what I should be doing for these.

I imagine a 1 hour Skype or Phone call just to give me some pointers. I'm flexible with times etc.
