I'm looking for help to get me started with a website selling print - business stationery, posters, leaflets etc.
I'm using Joomla 1.5/K2/K2Mart/Virtuemart with Gavick's Yourshop template and I want to try and keep the K2 element because the styling is better than Virtuemart and there is a bit more functionality.
I am not looking for the complete site to be finished (but might be if the right person comes along), but I do need someone who can help me get the basic elements in place so that I can then add the products, wording, etc.
So, to start, you need to see the demo (see the attached document for the address). Clicking on the second image will show Business cards, with four types under the page that appears. Click on Premium Cards show a product. On that product page I need to be able to show modules (such as the Free Delivery) one that appears on other pages on the right hand side. I have been able to show these on other pages (I don't want them on all pages) but they disappear here. That needs to be fixed if possible.
The cart doesn't appear to be working properly, but that may be because the product details aren't filled in yet. I need that working out and there is a document attached that shows how the various options should work for each product. These should all work through K2, not Virtuemart.
So far I should think this will be fairly easy for someone who knows their way around K2. But I also need to have dynamic pricing, so that the price updates automatically when an option is changed - I don't want to have the usual collection of drop-boxes/check-boxes that are common on Virtuemart sites. I have detailed how I would like this to work on the attached document and have given a link to another print sales website with a pricing system that is just what I'm looking for. On the document I have detailed the options I'll need for selling business cards. Other products will be much the same, though some may need more options. I will need to be able to add these options in the usual way, so any coding must not affect the way the admin works, or not too much, at least. The aim is to improve the experience for the customer, but not at the expense of making my life too difficult!
So there may be two jobs here: One to sort out the basic functionality and one to code the dynamic pricing. I am open to offers for one or both, but would prefer to deal with one person if possible.
If the dynamic pricing part can't be done under K2, then tell me how it can be achieved with the same sort of styling and functionality, such as the social networks "like" links.
I can give the winning bidder full access to the admin panel of the site, ftp access, and the original template files if required. I appreciate that I may not have explained this too well, so if you need further information use the clarification board and I'll do what I can to help you get the details you need. I'm a freelancer on PPH, so I know how frustrating it can be when someone puts a job up without enough info to bid accurately! I'll need to see examples of your work.
Thanks for looking, and I hope to find someone who can help me get underway soon. I'm sure there'll be more work to follow for the successful bidder.
