Help Me Fix My WordPress Portfolio Issue

I need someone who is great with WordPress to help me finally get my portfolio set up on my WordPress site.

I want a simple one page filterable portfolio that displays my clients' logos as a screenshot that when clicked on will show a larger image and a small description of any projects undertaken.

I have tried on various occasions to set this up using many of the plugins available through WordPress, but none of them work at all; usually resulting in a page full of different-sized images thrown all over the place.

It's becoming very frustrating and time consuming as I can't direct any prospects to my site until this is finished.

I will award the job by latest tomorrow and would really like it done as quick as possible.

I've had very frustrating experiences from working with freelancers who told me there English was fluent, and I wasted too much time trying to explain things for it not to be understood.
