Fix Magento IE8 Issues

A magento website running in V1.7.0.0 has several IE8 issues, works perfectly fine in Chrome.

Needs fixing within 2 days with an immediate start.

Example issue:

1. Go to here:

http://www.butchersequipment.co.uk/chopping-board-with-feet-40-x-30cm.html

and image zoom works fine but now go to another product:
http://www.butchersequipment.co.uk/icel-boning-knife-5-curved-blade-13cm-4-colours.html -

whilst image loads, click on second thumbnail - doesn't resize in middle. Then again click on the first thumbnail - Click on second thumbnail and click on + button to maximum, then click on first thumbnail - doesn't work

2. Look at this page: http://www.butchersequipment.co.uk/butchers-knives/icel.html - in Google Chrome I can see three lines of text for first product but cut off in IE8

3. http://www.butchersequipment.co.uk/icel-boning-knife-5-curved-blade-13cm-4-colours.html - scroll down until you see the table - first column width is too narrow but perfect in Google chrome

There are about 2 -3 issues more along similar lines.
