Facebook Connect - Login and Photo Album Reader (PHP)

I want to integrate a FB connection to a PHP Codeigniter site.

1. The user needs to be able to login to my site via FB

I have a general understanding of the FB login concept but I'm not clear on how I access the FB data once the user is logged in. I'm guessing once logged in I save it to session. I require your recommendations assistance to implement this.

2. Once logged in the needs to be able to browse and access their photos.

Once the user has chosen an image I need to be able to load this image into a jQuery cropper, similar to this http://php.amnuts.com/demos/crop-canvas/standard.php

I can't give you access to the site this is for so I will be integrating what you do into my Codeigniter site so please develop with this in mind.
