Excel expert to create formula to de-dupe records

Hi, we are building lists of prospects to market to. The lists include first name, last name, email address, tel number, company name etc.

Our clients then want us to remove certain companies they don't want us to target.

They give us the names of the companies to remove such

MF Tech
Butler and Sons

The problem occasionally occurs that the names given to us by our clients differ slightly from the names on the spreadsheet.

So MF Tech might appear on our sheet as Mike Farley Technologies

and Butler and Sons might appear as Butler&Sons. The email addresses might be slightly different too.

Therefore when we run a de-dupe check using our software it only searches for exact matches. We would like it to search for partial matches too so that it will highlight lines of potential conflict so we can review those manually and decide whether to merge the records or delete out.

Are you able to help with a formula that will do this?
