We have an amazing opportunity for a proven, confident and talented freelance Events Manager to coordinate and deliver a one-day summit and cocktail reception in Rio de Janeiro this summer.

The role is initially offered on a contract basis for 3 months, with a view to the role becoming a permanent position if successful to deliver future events.

To mark 20 years since the Rio Earth Summit, the World Green Summit will be taking place on the 20th June, 2012 at a pre-selected venue in Rio de Janeiro. The summit will bring together 300 delegates to discuss sustainability and the wider green economy between 12:00 and 18:00, followed by an informal cocktail reception.

This is an immediate and exciting opportunity for a freelancer to join a small but skilled team to manage the operational planning, coordination and delivery of the summit, including on-site management in Rio itself, and potentially a pre-event site visit to Rio in late April. You will be working with some of the world’s finest sponsors and key speakers, and be a crucial part of the team on what will be a seminal event in one of the world’s most dynamic cities.

Key details:
- 3 month freelance contract
- Office based in our offices in Old Street
- Must have 3 years previous experience of Events Management on B2B/B2G international events.
- Ability to speak Portuguese would be a distinct advantage
- Must be free to fly to Rio at end of April, and be in Rio between 15-23 June.
