HI everyone,
I have an interesting job here, there is a website which has around 1,830 pages indexed.
Here's my problem, i am in the process of purchasing the domain from the current owner, however the owner has fallen out with the company who control the site (the developer), and therefore does not have access to any of the files or anything to do with the backend of the site at all.
The sale of the domain is going ahead, and i therefore require a seriously qualified freelancer to rip this site (the entire site). Not copy it by re building it from scratch, because that would be impossible because it would take far too long.
I know there are programmes out there where you can duplicate/rip an entire site, but i am not that qualified to use one of them.
So i need someone that seriously knows what they are talking about. I have asked someone else to do this and they assured me that they could do it, i paid them and they just tried to manually copy the site page by page. I paid them and wasted my money, and a week of time.
I will require the freelancer to actually complete the work and load the ripped site onto a spare domain, (one of the freelancers domains is fine, or on a directory is ok), i just need proof that it has been done. Before i make the payment.
I know that the process can be done very quickly with the right software, as i have seen it done in front of my eyes before, with a guy i once knew, but unfortunately he is back in Poland and i cannot get hold of him.
This job has to be done really quickly, and 100% correct first time, as i only have a 3 day window, before the (developer has threatened to take the site down) relations has seriously broken down between the developer and the guy who owns the domain.
So please, please, do not bid if you cannot do this job, i really can't afford to have any more time wasted, we only have 1 chance to get this done right.
Many thanks
Mark
