Dungeon Project:
(Attached Document will have all the images)
• This is a simple dungeon maze project. I have a good maze program written in Visual Basic 6 and it does an excellent job of creating the maze.
• I have substituted graphic images for the surrounding stone that the maze is cut through.
• The maximum maze size is 99 x 99 and height and width must be in odd numbers. (Long Story but it works) What I need is the same random maze layout with random rooms added. (See Sample Image 1)
• The basics are Speed; create the non-maze tiles from the same graphic. (Pick one or draw one)
• The hallway should be a different graphic (Pick one or draw one)
• The entry tile to the room should be one of four unique tiles with an indicator (Dot, Plus Sign, …) that indicates the correct door side to the room (N,E,S,W)
• My current maze generator complete with encounters, correct hallway and wall stone can generate a 99 x 99 maze in less than 3 seconds. Just no rooms.
• You can either create an html file output or a text file that clearly identifies the specific tiles.
o I can provide the HTML Header, Footer, and middle lines with a sample of the output for clarification.
• I can offer a flat rate and a bonus for completion within 5 business days after you accept the contract.
I leave the creativity up to you.
Sample Image 1
a. D=Door
b. S=Stone
Additional Notes:
Hallways
1. Connecting to rooms
a. One per side of the room max. Either one to four hallways can connect to the same room.
b. Hallways that pass through do not have to pass through in a straight line.
2. Sample
Doors/Room Entry
1. The entry tile must be uniquely identified as entry from which side.
2. Sample
Coding Needs
1. I need the source code so bid accordingly
2. This is part of a game development in progress
3. Your contribution will be noted in the credits
4. Must be in Visual Basic 6 only, not .NET, Visual Studio 2005 …
5. No Database calls are necessary
6. The maze must be accurate with a solvable path
7. Speed to complete the maze is highly desirable. (My current maze application with no rooms can create a 99 x 99 maze is less than 3 seconds)
