Discogs Listings Matching Device

The winning Bidder will require to build Discogs Listings Matching Device (DLMD). It will be a standalone software for a user using keywords and other variables to find the closest matched listings in real time from Discogs data dump - http://www.discogs.com/data/

Discogs release a new version of their database every month in the format of XML, containing 4 main files, below are the March edition.

discogs_20120301_artists.xml.gz
discogs_20120301_labels.xml.gz
discogs_20120301_masters.xml.gz
discogs_20120301_releases.xml.gz

DLMD will contain the following features -

- Import of file discogs_20120301_releases.xml.gz onto host system, the file will need to be extracted to become XML

- Import downloaded XML and convert into MySQL database, showing all variables in separate fields

- Allow user to upload Excel spreadsheet of mixed fields search terms, and provide real time result of the closest matches

- Display search results as summary, with only artists, title, label and cataloger number, allow user to expand to view full details

- Allow user to pick the correct listing, extract release_id and place it next to the original search terms imported from Excel

- Export all results on .xls (Sucessfully matched or otherwise)
