Technical SEO Specialist– Fix 401 Errors & Pingbacks (WordPress)

Description

I’m looking for an experienced Technical SEO specialist to carry out a short, one-off optimisation task on my website.

This is a clearly defined technical job, not an ongoing SEO or marketing role.

Scope of Work:
You will be required to:

Conduct a technical SEO review of the website, Identify and resolve 401 (unauthorised) errors, Investigate and disable or correctly configure pingbacks generated when blog posts are published, show customer how to resove indexing issues from console report and ensure all changes follow SEO best practice and do not negatively affect site performance or rankings.

Required Experience:
Strong technical SEO background, Proven experience working with WordPress, Confident diagnosing crawl, indexing and permission errors, Familiar with tools such as Google Search Console, Able to explain work completed clearly and concisely.

Nice to Have:
Experience working with small business or professional services websites, Familiarity with common WordPress SEO/security plugins (Yoast)

Deliverables:
401 errors resolved or clearly explained (with fixes applied where possible),
Pingbacks disabled or correctly configured,
Identify how to fix page indexing issues and show customer how to do so (console report available)
Short written summary of work completed and any recommended next steps
