    Hi Dale, I've read this a few times but am a bit lost. Are you asking people to lie about work they have done and post to your client site?

    I'm sure this is not the case as top ranking PPHers have bid for this job at £23.00! Therefore could I ask you to clarify.

    Thanks for questioning. I am asking for a link from the actual hourlys web site themselves not to generate links on other sites they don't own/control.

    I am paying them for SEO work which can be a singe link or many links so if they say they are doing SEO work for said client this is notionally correct even though understandably it is a very limited seo job.

    It is limited SEO work I agree, but 1 link can make a massive difference from a quality site as opposed to some of the lesser more easily obtained links that freelancers often provide.

    You will notice that of the 5 people who responded, I have rejected 3 as their sites and let them know that the site to be linked to was not a fit for them. I have approved work from one which is where they are creating a link on a site and not saying they are doing seo but a standard Gig of say a blog link. I am in communications with one other who seems to be a good business that may lead to more long term work and I am hoping for to place a job with them.

    While I suggested what they may wish to say on their site in terms of text surrounding the link, this is a suggestion only. For web developers and SEO companies, a link on a testimonial page or case study page is the usual place for a link. On other sites it would be a guest blog.
