Basic assessment of a website's SEO effectiveness.

Assessment of a new company's website - I need a basic assessment from an SEO/web marketing specialist of what you think of the website's effectiveness, especially re SEO - but also happy to hear your view across any other aspect of the site's design etc that you think is relevant in assessing its effectiveness. I don't need huge amounts of data/analysis - it's simply a quick summary for non-IT specialists to understand the basic strengths/weaknesses of the website and its effectiveness.
