Bluebuck (www.bluebuck.net) is a brand of high quality, eco-friendly mens underwear, for a real, natural man.
We are looking for a copywriter to work on our social media postings (2 postings a week on FB) and newsletters (1 per month). We will supply the stories / ideas to you and you will rewrite, in some cases add / elaborate. Coming up with your own creative ideas as well would be a plus.
Ideally, the texts should be written with a touch of humour.
Brand description
Bluebuck underwear is for the rugged and adventurous. The Bluebuck man is unashamedly masculine; he is naturally sexy without trying too hard to look perfect. He is into outdoors sports rather than spending hours in the gym; he makes choices based on substance, not image. But is confident but he doesn’t take himself too seriously and has a sense of humour. The brand’s motto is “life is one big adventure”.
Bluebuck underwear is a high quality product using the best of the best in materials and manufacturing methods. The fabrics and the elastic waistband are both soft and resistant, made to last a very long time and very comfortable to wear.
It is also eco-friendly: the entire production was designed to generate the lowest carbon footprint possible. All garments are made with organic cotton from Turkey, the production is entirely based in Europe (Austria and Portugal) to minimize “cotton miles”, and uses a high percentage of renewable energy (between 40% and 70%).
Bluebuck uses a model unlike the stereotypical, young ‘pretty boy’ underwear model: he’s 30-ish, handsome but with character in his face; he has a fit, muscular body but no gym-honed six-pack; and he’s less ‘polished’, being attractive & sexy in a real, natural way.
The customers
Bluebuck customers are mostly male, between 20 and 55 (average age around 35), educated, gay (probably a majority) and straight. Some customers are female and buy for their companion.
Our customers live mostly in the UK, in France and in the US, but they can also live in other European countries, in Austria, South America.
