Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
How it works:
- Customer would be given an E-top up Card
- They would then activate the card by calling a certain number (or similar, depending on the mobile network they are on, then enter the numbers on the back of E-top up card to register that card on the network)
- Once activated, customers can then use E-top up card to recharge their mobile phones
- These E-top up cards can be swiped at the POS Terminal and amount of airtime entered is credited to user’s mobile phone
With the above, we would need you to design/develop a POS Terminal to read E-top up cards (also to be produced by you) to credit airtime on customer’s mobile phones. However, as we do not have access as of yet to the mobile operator’s airtime system, we intend to create a prototype of the above process.
A reasonable suggestion might be to create the POS Terminal, E-top up cards, then possibly a webpage or online account that reflects the airtime recharge process. For instance, when the E-top up card is activated and swiped at terminal, once an amount has been entered for airtime purchase, the online account or webpage will reflect this, as it would in a real scenario.
With addition to the above discussed, we will also need an online version of this process. This means, a website will also be designed and serve as an online top up system. This website will enable customers enter the numbers on the back of their E-top up cards to purchase airtime online if they choose to use this option. They key thing here however is that they still will need the activated E-top up card numbers to buy airtime.
If there are any questions or queries, please do contact me and we can discuss further or if there are any suggestions, let me know.
Cheers,
Temi.
