WordPress Customisation to create membership site.

We want to use WordPress to create a membership website. There are two parts to this.

1 Customisation. Take existing copy and images and create roughtly 4 pages with our branding. Then as I am unfamiliar with WordPress to give me an overview so that i can take the site forward by creating new pages as required.,

2 Membership functionality.

The site has to be accessible ONLY to members. We have a Customer Management System (Infusionsoft) which already manages the members -payments, passwords etc. Infusionsoft can work with Wordpress via a plug in - \"InfusionsoftWP\" which we have subscribed too. This needs installing fresh and it takes literally minutes.

InfusionsoftWP is the best plug in available to infusionsoft for creating a membership site from WordPress . However, the instructions availabe are scetchy, combine that with me knowing little about WordPress has meant my progress is slow. But if you understand how to make the short codes work it should be relatively straightforward.

So the inital pages I require would be.

Homepage - with member log in panel - username and password boxes.

Logo in failure page - when they get the password wrong or need to pay for their memebrship.

Standard web page

Product page.


There are a heap of short codes we can use on this site and as we have memebers information available via Infusionsoft we can draw on this data via the short codes to personalise the site pages for the member. We can also use short codes to run actions (via Infusionsoft) such as - send them an email as a result fo them clicking on a specific pages. So there are quite a few interesting tricks we can explore.
