Description
Experience Level: Expert
Summary of website requirements for my clients:-
1. Timescales - initial version of site to be live by 14/02/2012 - amendments & corrections be be necessary after this.
2. Content managed, for maintaining page content, main nav bar links, side nav links and allowing uploading of photos & documents (PDF, Word etc)
3. Events module
4. News module
5. Photo galleries module
6. Display Twitter feed on home page & perhaps in sidebar
7. Contact page – to just send email
8. Social media – Facebook like button, Twitter follow button
9. Design - 3 templates, all with standard footer:-
a.) full page for home page, with jQuery slide show using pictures from gallery, and 3 content boxes below, plus display of Twitter feed
b.) 2 column for content pages - sidebar with links, and Twitter feed displayed
c.) They also have a conference venue and need a single page to market this, which needs to have a similar layout to the 2 column format but with a more ‘corporate’ colour scheme/design
The client is a church organisation that helps teenagers, so needs to have a graphic design suitable for a church-related organisation, but that also appeals to teenagers.
It needs to use their existing GoDaddy hosting package.
They have other ideas as well for future requirements/enhancements, but this is their planned starting point for their new site.
A Wordpress based site would be suitable, although simplicity of use for maintaining the content is essential.
