UK BIDS ONLY.
I'm looking for someone very creative who can design for me, then produce for me, a single page (holding page) for my new website - 3dvisuals.co.uk.
I am a freelancer (3D Visualiser) who works mainly on his own but can draw on other freelancers to assist me with projects when required, so I'm not looking for my site to convey a false impression that this is a huge organisation, but neither must it appear as though it is only one person that works here either.
My current belief is that my holding page will consist of about 5-6 images of the best images that I have produced to date (across a variety of image/client types), with a little bit of text about 'our' services (which of course I'll provide) along with contact details etc.
The page MUST also have on it somewhere (I guess, across the top) text to inform visitors that the new website is under construction (you're to choose the best words for that).
As part of this assignment, I will ALSO be wanting you to design a really nice logo for my domain (i.e. for the text 3DVisuals) - so you'll need strong Photoshop / Illustrator skills, and must take into consideration that this logo will also appear on Letterheaded paper (though I'll handle the layouts of those documents) and I'll be putting that onto a business card as well.
I'd like this webpage to be of really good design, plenty of 'eye-candy' (for example not necessarily a plain background and something 'funky' to happen to the images so that they become large/the focus when hovered over), have good first impact, not overly busy or confusing but to look as though thought and effort has been applied to it and that it wasn't knocked up in an afternoon - so let your creativity flow !
I'd quite like it to use a font that isn't one of the regular's (i.e. not Arial, Times, etc - something modern and 'designy').
Consideration will also be given to the ideal candidate who can give guidance/advice for what the future, full website could look like and advise on the best technology etc to consider for its implementation.
Will want someone who will be contactable via phone/skype etc and be free to discuss briefs/ideas (i.e. I do not want all communication to be via emails and texts as I find that to be too time consuming).
Finally, I have not specified a budget because I genuinely do not know how much this would cost - and also I wish to see the variety of bids which come in and gauge what'd be fair from that, but will say that I am looking for a competitive quote.
Finally, absolutely NO FLASH, and has to sit within a design no wider than 927px wide (excluding browser borders, scroll bars etc).
