ONGOING WORK - LONG TERM
We are looking for a creative freelancer with an outstanding eye for good design to join our team on an ongoing basis to add the finishing polish to our websites.
We create websites for SMEs and currently they are initially built in Divi to a basic design standard before the finishing touches are then completed by a second developer to ensure the visual and aesthetics of the site are bought up to the required high standard.
We are looking to outsource this secondary function to a freelancer.
You will be given a completed Divi website on which to work your magic and transform it from a "run-of-the-mill" website to something with style and impact. Typically this means:
1 - Adjusting logos to make them look better on the site
2 - Adjusting colour scheme
3 - Changing or adjusting photos to give much greater impact
4 - Adjusting design on the homepage via Divi module and non-css Divi customisation
5 - Adding or adjusting animations on homepage via Divi
6 - Editing, adding/deleting text on homepage to ensure columns align and read correctly
You are not required to:
1 - Write any code. All changes can be done using Photoshop and Divi point and click customisation.
2 - Edit the actual theme, wordpress or plugins
2 - Carry out a complete website design overhaul - this is fine tuning to give it greater style and impact by someone with an excellent eye for design.
Changes are mostly required only to the header area, footer, homepage and sidebar.
Emphasis should be on:
1 - Using the right images which are crisp, relevant and have impact.
2 - Using the right fonts
3 - Ensuring the content is symmetrical and without empty spaces
4 - Adjusting the layout and design as required to improve the aesthetic look of the site
I have attached a screen grab of a current project which is ready for the final design stage which is annotated to give you a good idea of what is expected. An example of a website after it has been finalised is at www.pikeopticians.club. Note that this site has extra sections on the homepage - you are not required to add additional sections and content if it is not already there.
In essence you are required to finalise the design of the website to the point where it is finished and ready to be shown to the client.
No agencies please, only independent freelancers need apply.
Please show me your portfolio of websites that you have done yourself. We are looking for someone long-term to work with our business carrying out the same task on multiple websites per month.
Any questions please ask.
