Description
I am testing this as a first step. If the work materially improves clarity and conversion, there will be further paid work immediately. - I have a live website built around a physical product centred on a handwritten thank you letter and a photograph.
The idea resonates strongly with people, but the issue is how quickly and clearly it is understood when someone lands on the page. At the moment, visitors are being asked to feel something before they fully understand what they are looking at. That hesitation is slowing action.
I need someone to fix that.
When someone arrives, it should be immediately clear what this is, what they are getting, and what they need to do next. This needs to happen within seconds, without relying on scrolling, interpretation, or guesswork.
This is not a design refresh. It is a clarity and conversion problem.
The product itself is simple in concept but different in execution. It is something the customer writes and gives. That must be obvious straight away. The letter and photograph should be visible immediately, supported by one clear line that explains the product without ambiguity.
There also needs to be less pressure on the visitor. Most people arrive knowing they want to say something meaningful, but they are unsure how to start. The page should make that first step feel simple and manageable, not heavier.
This is a premium, emotionally-led product. People will naturally compare it to a card, a message, or doing nothing. The value needs to be understood quickly, without adding noise or slowing the experience down.
Key requirements
The letter and photograph visible immediately on arrival
One clear, direct explanation of the product at the top
A clear action to begin, visible without scrolling
Reduced friction for people unsure what to write
Removal of anything that delays understanding
What I want back
A rewritten above-the-fold section
Clear structure for the first screen
Exact wording, not suggestions
Optional wireframe or quick mockup
Budget / timing
Fixed price preferred
Fast turnaround required
Filter line
Start your proposal with:
“I fix clarity before design”
Final note
If your instinct is to make this look better rather than make it clearer, this is not the right fit.
Website: https://www.quietthanks.co.uk
Please review the homepage before applying.
In your proposal, briefly answer these three questions:
What is unclear within the first few seconds
What you would change first and why
One example where you improved clarity or conversion on a similar page
Do not send a generic response without reviewing the site.

Hello Mr. Simon W,
Can I Know That Should the first 3 seconds clearly show that the customer writes and sends the letter themselves, or do you want to keep some emotional discovery?
