CSS changes to website template

I'm using an out-of-the-box template for a small website. I need the css template tweaked to resolve a couple of minor layout issues:
1. Bullet points need to be indented (not wrapping)
2. Need to stop body text wrapping around sidebar when text exceeds length of sidebar
3. Section headings need to be correctly aligned to body text.

For ease of maintenance, I need the css section on a single page to be updated, so that the page's css section can be used site-wide. Needs to look good in IE and Firefox.
I expect this to be a trivial piece of work for a css expert. Prefer no changes to the HTML body - just CSS changes
