Hi - I am looking to build a worldwide community databe/website based around a specific industry. I need to be able to identify and relate individuals to employers within different types of business within the industry. Can have a little of the social networking functionality but must have a profssional and corporate feel about it. It will be used primarily as a reference tool within the industry however it should highight companies and their individuals and identify specifically where they are located around the world by city/airport.

Please propose the best solution to carry this forward and I will happily provide further information to those that can demonstrate the most suitable option

The following web site had a similar feel about what I am trying to achive but obvioulsy they dont focues on the individual but you get the idea.
