Simple logo for holiday let property

Hi - we need help digitising and improving a sketch/idea for our holiday let. We have a company who can laser cut the logo into wood for a wall plaque (www.thegrain.co.uk). We will use the logo on website and email so needs to grab you attention/imagination. We have some ideas of how to improve on the sketch but welcome input.
House is stones throw from the ocean and is being clad in wood - house name is Shore Cottage.
