morning
Popcultr.biz is a B2B digital summit for Popculture Marketing and PR Professionals running in November. The programme is focussed on working out wfh happened in the business of popculture this year, how to overcome the challenges, best practices and what comes next. We identify Pop Culture as film, TV, Gaming, Consumer products and associated licensing and conventions, basically entertainment that fans and the general public get excited about.
we're looking for a brand identity that acknowledges that it's a B2B programme whilst understanding that these people get to work on some really iconic brands and properties so it needs to be stand out iconic and of it's genre but not cute, hackneyed or twee.
Mandatories:
1. needs to be the full "popcultr.biz" brand and no derivatives from that in terms of shortenings or acronyms (icon in addition to logotype is great!)
2. Needs the tagline 'Marketing Summit' within the identity. It's a start up so we need to spell it out (for now)
3. no references to licensed logos or brand identities
4. no 'pops' of bubbles, or anything too twee, cute, impact marks, comic book 'kapow' or Andy Warhol references, film reels.....
5. makes people who design and operate some of the coolest brands and properties on the planet sit up and give an approving nod and make them want to investigate further.
6. The ability to extend further than the simple logo into all branding, off and online
nice to haves
1. multiple colour types and treatments
2. the ability to create some smart animation and gifs
General Direction
We're looking at an 8Bit route sepeartely to this brief as we can use that to extend the brand nicely but theres some push back against that as it's too gaming orientated and retro.
We tend to favour clean, clear typefaces, easily legible and accessible.
Our existing company brand (www.experience12.com) has a set of line art icons that have a lot of pop culture references (and some sweet gifs) we need this brand to sit away from that style as it's stanadalone project.
We always credit our design partners for their work.
Any other Qs please jsut holla.
thanks
Chris
