Logo for motocross business

Information for the business: New Motocross company that needs cool cutting edge logo designed
Industry: Sports and Fitness
Type of logo: Letter form, Abstract mark

Ideas for the visual style: Maybe a D or type of random Logo that can stand alone
Things to avoid: Tacky Motocross bikes
Preferred colors: Metal or diry burnt, but any as the log will be used across lots of branding and tshirts
Where the design will be used: web, cloting, email, letter heads and stickers
Extra notes: I want this logo to look cool and cutting edge
it needs to be a noticeable logo that everyone in the industry will recognize in the industry (think FOX, Monster, Redbull, One industries.

The logo in my mind is a d of some form with the letters defector cut out of it
(I have attached a pic of a g-star belt buckle that i like the look of) I would think making it look like it has been plasma cut out of a chunk of steel or metal

The logo needs to log strong and dirty at the same time that we will be able to replicate and go on to lots of applications in different colors.

I have made a few basic logos on my computer, but don't cut what i want (the arrows do not have to be involved)
i have also uploaded images of other big mx companies and also a picture of the belt buckle that i have in mind

I want two versions
One of logo alone
One that is incorporated in to the logo so it can be used on headed paper ect.
