I need a professional icon

There is an open source project called nxlog (http://nxlog-ce.sourceforge.net/). I am currently developing an add-on to this project, in order to update the configuration of the software remotely. To be more specific: the open source project nxlog is a software to collect log files from different applications. My add-on is an add-on to this software, which enables to update remotely the configuration of multiple nxlog softwares installed in different machines. Thus, i.e. you have 100 devices running nxlog. With my add-on you may update all of their configurations remotely.

What I need is a logo for my add-on. However I intend to use the logo of the main project nxlog as the base of my logo, but update it in order to emphasis the main idea of "remote configuring". The base logo can be found here: http://nxsec.com/nxlog-ee/sites/nxlog-ee/files/nxlog_logo.png.

The designer should inspire from the base logo and innovatively include "a remote updater" idea to the logo.
