Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
Information for the business: Independent Mac repair specialist
Industry: Technology
Type of logo: Pictorial mark, Emblem, Character
Brand name/slogan in logo: that Mac chap
Ideas for the visual style: Cheeky 'that Mac chap' character with the wording 'that Mac chap' somewhere
Things to avoid: Tacky/Cheap looking.
Preferred colors: Limited colour palette - simplistic
Where the design will be used: Website. Twitter. Facebook Page.
Extra notes: My company name is 'that Mac chap'. I'm a Mac Engineer and have been working with creative agencies for over 5 years now, managing servers and workstations. I am now venturing into freelance Mac support and engineering as a side project.
My 'vibe' if you like, behind the name was a colloquial "Who fixed your Mac?" "That Mac chap".
I'd like a logo created to represent this little knowledgeable 'Mac chap'. I've attached something I mocked up but I'm not too pleased with it. I've attached it so you get a feel for the kind of almost cheeky cartoon style Mac engineer I'd like you to achieve. However I'd like to keep it classy and stay away from the overly obvious tacky style cartoon logos you see all too often.
I have blonde hair and blue eyes so if you'd work that in that would be great.
Colours - up to you. But a usable palette I could then work with throughout my website and twitter would be good.
If you could work in the words 'that Mac chap' to either a baseball cap, or the cartoon engineer's overalls that'd be great. An Apple emblem or a cartoon MacBook somewhere would be beneficial.
Please see www.thatmacchap.com for my site. The logo needs to fit at the top. Either a character to the left of the wording 'that Mac chap' or the wording 'that Mac chap' on the character somewhere.
