SIPS Construction Structural Engineer

We seek a highly skilled structural engineer to provide critical design calculations for a structural insulated panel (SIPS) building project. The structural calculations will be used to ensure the building can withstand loading and stresses during construction and throughout its intended use.

The engineer must have extensive experience designing the structural elements of SIPS buildings, with a strong understanding of the properties and performance of SIPS panels. The building envelope will feature load-bearing exterior wall and roof panels, so the engineer must be able calculate panel sizes, connections, foundations and any other structural components needed to construct a safe and code-compliant building.

Accuracy is imperative as the construction team will rely on the completed calculations to safely erect the building framework. We require the calculations to be thoroughly documented and detailed and include all assumptions. The engineer should also review the project plans and be available to address any questions from our team. English is a must as our construction team only reads and speaks English.

Experience designing light commercial or institutional SIPS buildings is preferred. Proficiency with structural engineering design software is necessary to efficiently generate the required documentation. Interested candidates should have professional liability insurance and be licensed to practice in the UK
