Ground Floor Open Plan Redesign

Project Brief:

We are seeking a designer to reimagine the ground floor only of a residential property to create a modern open-plan living space. The redesign should exclude the existing hallway and cloakroom (to remain as-is) and instead focus on transforming the remaining ground floor area into a cohesive open-plan layout that clearly defines:

Kitchen area (to remain roughly in its current position to avoid costly re-piping), featuring a kitchen island

Dining area with appropriate furniture layout
Living room/lounge area with furniture placement

The redesigned floor plan must be to scale and reflect accurate room dimensions, which can be taken from the current layout:

Lounge: 21'56" x 11'14"
Dining Room: 9'09" x 16'53"
Kitchen: 11'90" x 8'87"

The objective is to maximize space and light while maintaining clear zones for cooking, dining, and relaxing. Plans should visually communicate furniture placement and room flow.
