Tech pack designer

Information for the business: High fashion clothing
Design details: This position will work collaboratively with the Design and Development teams to communicate the designer’s vision through patterns, samples and specs.

Essential Functions of this Role:
1. Create initial technical specifications including measurement specs and construction details
2. Recommend best construction methods while maintaining the integrity of the design and styling
3. Provide recommendations for alternate ideas and solutions on construction, fabric, trims and styling that achieve the cost parameters and aesthetics, and an on-time, approvable sample.
4. Analyze vendor samples to determine compliance of spec, construction, and fit intent. Resolve fit, pattern and construction issues on vendors patterns & samples submitted.
5. Create and maintain blocks and block specs for various categories
6. Provide graded specs and comments on size runs to support the commercialization process.
7. Technical work must include perfect patterns that are correct and balanced.
