Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: 1 - 2 weeks
Information for the business: We are a Sports listing site
Industry: Sports and Fitness
Design details: We are a very popular sports website (WherestheMatch.com) and require team badges for about 1,100 teams that cover Football, Rugby Union, Rugby League and Cricket.
If you go to the site you can see we already have many club badges on the site, but we still have many more to get sorted.
This is not a hard job, it's more of a process which will be outlined in the spec, so creative design skills are not really needed.
We want someone who really knows their sport, specifically the 4 sports mentioned, and ideally UK based.
We will ask you to cover off 5 samples to show you can do the job (each badge should only take seconds to create)
Target audience: Sports lovers
Ideas for the visual style: Not applicable
Urls to draw inspiration from: http://www.wheresthematch.com
Where the design will be used: web
Extra notes:
Here is the job process:
Team Badge Job Process
1) Find the official Club badge image by searching on Google
2) Usually adding the team name and the sport finds the relevant Wikipedia page - e.g. "Liverpool Football Wikipedia" will find the following page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liverpool_F.C.
3) Save or grab the club crest (if there is one available) - there may be occasions when Wikipedia doesn't have the logo available, use other sources if this is the case.
4) Copy the image and paste it into the 196 width 160 height pixel blank image.
5) Resize the image so that the badge fits nicely into the centre (at the top) of the 196x160 pixel canvas.
6) Save the image as the identical name given to you on the spreadsheet.
7) That's it! Easy :)
Notes:
- For any Under 19's or any team that is a junior club of the parent (such as Austria U17's, use the same badge design as the parent team, in this example Austria)
- The same rule applies for any Womens Team, so Chelsea Ladies would have the same badge as Chelsea.
