Repeatable pattern/image

I have a background that I use on a business card, with lots of small social/web icons (see attached image). I am looking to use this on my website, so would like this formatted to a square that will seamlessly repeat when tiled.

I have the icons as an AI file and would like the final pattern returned as an AI file, with the artboard forming the repeatable square.

I don't think this is going to be a massive job, but one that needs a bit of attention to ensure the seamless repeat without any big gaps on the joins. Can you help?!
