Description
Experience Level: Expert
Hey there :)
I need some help to get the graphics on my website standardised, so they all follow the same formula, and look consistent across the site.
Then, once we have found the right formula, and updated all of the imagery on the site, I'd like to add the parameters to my Brand Guidelines document, so that anyone can easily create more graphics as required in future, and follow the same 'recipe' to ensure they're consistent.
You can check out the 'beta' version of the website here... http://create.rocks
You'll notice that we have a similar style to all of the images, including:
1. A black & white 'rubber stamp image
2. A cut-out outline, with a glowing edge / shadow to give the illusion of depth, as if it's been cut out from a piece of real card
3. A colourful 'pop-art' style shadow beneath the graphic, which adds some colour and depth. The colours vary between the four 'primary' brand colours (cyan, magenta, yellow, green).
BUT! If you look closely, you'll notice that there are a few problems with the images - as they're not consistent...
1. Different 'rubber stamp' overlays have been used is different between different images
2. The size of the cut-out areas are bigger on some images compared to others
3. The shape of the pop-art style shadow is not the same shape as the cut-out shape
4. Plus a few more!
What I'd like to do is:
1. Take one of the graphics, and do some final tweaks to make this the 'standard' formula, which all of the others need to follow.
2. Update all of the other graphics to match this formula, and save down the vector files
3. Update the images on the website with these new graphics, so that everything is consistent
4. Add the 'recipe' we've used to my brand guidelines document, so that anyone can follow the formula to create new graphics which are consistent with the existing ones.
I have all of the existing graphics in Adobe Illustrator format ready to start work on. I've attached some of them in PNG format for your reference (PPH won't let me upload .ai files for some reason).
I've also created a VERY ROUGH draft of the page I'm thinking of adding to the brand guidelines doc, which will show someone step-by-step how to create a graphic in future.
I hope all that makes sense?!
Please get in touch if you need any more info.
And if you could send a short message with how you'd approach the project and examples of similar work, that would be great!
Thanks v much,
Rich
