Description
Experience Level: Expert
Information for the business: Games app
Industry: Entertainment
Design details: We'll need icons on the maps from which the player will enter the levels of our game. We're planning to have a system similar to the majority of the apps of today which is where all of the levels are scored by a 3-star system, relating to how well the player does in that level.
The empty circle icons (left) are what you see on the map, when the player clicks on one of the circles the icon appears in the middle, in the below images a goblin. Also with a box for the user to click on to enter the game.
The similarities I would like would be the stars, the box with the word -again Attack- and the dots.
However I'd like 5 separate circle icons, one for each element and when the player clicks on each there is an icon for that element. This means 5 differently coloured circles and 5 different icons to go inside each circle.
Below in the documents are the colours to go in each of the circular icons and then what I'd like for the icon to match that element.
A Tree that looks similar to these.
A Cactus -green- of your own design
Tall Grass Looking similar to this but cartoon design of course.
Mini volcano. Obvious intuitive design so you can create your own.
A Shell visually like left hand sample but colour most like one on the right.
About the look of the circle you make the icons appear in, can you make it texturised but far less obviously than the example below and also have a black (not white) border surrounding it which is very thin.
Inline images 1
The reason for this is that we want the icons to fit into the regional maps you've created not stick out like a sore thumb and take the viewer's eye away from the artwork behind, whilst also making it possible for the viewer to still notice the icons.
The stars above, icon with wording inside and wording we'll want as separate layers. This is since we'll want to change the font of the wording and/or change the wording in the future.
When a level is not able to be played the -empty- circle we will simply decolourise.
The stars to display above the empty circle icon we'll also want in a layer and we'll need to be able to add one, two or three stars so we may need three/four separate layers.
We're not going to bother with names like the below image.
The last bit of this piece of work will be to create the dots to show the route between the icons or levels on the map.
I'd like these to be a shade of black but with a degree of around 30/40% transparency, whatever you think is best once you've overlaid it on top of the desert region/other bright regions.
The reason I'd like you to create a darker colour is because the map you've created is so bright, but if you think a white or lighter colour for a dot and therefore series of dots for a path would work, let me know.
Any questions on the work please let me know, If not let me know about when you can do it and pricing.
Happy New Year,
Will

Target audience: All ages
Ideas for the visual style: Clash of Clan visuals for single player
Preferred colors: As stated in Design.
Where the design will be used: App (iOS)
Extra notes: The most artwork will be in the 5 detailed icons, tree shell etc. I was thinking £15 each for these. -£75
The 5 empty circular buttons to go underneath will be one design then 5 different colours so I was thinking £5 for each-£25
£20 more for the 3 stars above
£20 more for the box beneath with 'attack' inside as a layer so we're able to change the font/wording
£10 for the dot.
Drafts of the designs coming to me as PNG's/uploaded to your dropbox then the final version uploaded to the shared dropbox as a PSD.
Coming to £150.
