Ideas for the visual style: informal technical - a "cartoon" style will work

    Hi Simon, how complex d you need the Illustrations to be and how many do you need. Do you have any examples of the sort of thing you're after so I can give you an accurate quote.

    At this stage, not entirely sure. I would prefer to discuss this face to face and agree what style and content and quanity best illustrate the concept, hence I'm looking for someone local, and with the right capability. We have no specific budget for this - happy to suck it and see but the lower the hourly rate the less we are likely to care about how long it takes :-)

    perhaps a CAD model, from which an illustration can be made, might create the best result?

    Can you give any indication of the physical nature of the product? Or is that private?

    I think we're looking for a hand-drawn illustration. CAD would provide clean lines and a structured drawing but would take quite a lot longer I think. We use CAD in-house and this is not something I could get my designers to do (except one who is a talented artist but too busy on projects.) This is not an illustration that needs to fit with any brand guidelines - it just needs to help explain the concept. I don't want to provide product details in advance of a face to face meeting. I appreciate this is not ideal which is why it's easier to get someone local to our office (Featherstone, Wolverhampton)

    Hi Simon, I would love to help but live a long train ride away.
    I can send you some examples of illustration samples if you would like.. but without knowing the nature of the product it is very hard to give you a quote.

    Some basic CAD with some photoshop tweaks is usally fastest for me unless the product is very complex...
    For example: If the product is very organic or soft bodied, it would take much longer than if it is relatively simple in form.
