Hello,
I require a set of storyboards for a 10 minute script. If you're a creator of high-quality storyboards then I'd love to hear from you. The process for awarding the work will be as follows:
+ Please register your interest by responding to this job post with a proposal by 6pm Tuesday 13th May. I understand PPH requires an amount, so put whatever you like, it's not relevant at this stage.
+ If you've sent me a message by Tuesday 13th, then I'll do a high level review of your profile to check suitability. If appropriate, I'll send you the script, earlier storyboard drafts, guidance notes, etc, by 10am Wednesday 14th May. If you wish, you can then issue a revised proposal and your expected time-frames. Obviously I very much hope that you do!
+ I will review quotations and profiles received up to 6pm Friday 16th May.
+ I will award the work by 10am Monday 19th May.
NOTES BEFORE RESPONDING
This process allows me to restrict the circulation of the script and existing work.
I can only work with artists in the UK.
I can only work with individual freelancers.
(so not the "random canvassing responses" that are typically sent - you know who you are!)
I can only judge suitability from your portfolio, so there needs to be something in it.
If you don't receive further information from me on Wednesday morning then I've decided not to work with you on this occasion.
BUSINESS
I'm the owner of the newly incorporated JOYZO LIMITED. The purpose of the business is to create collaborative video games for families. We have a novel approach to the challenges of family gaming including some patent-pending technology. At present, we're working through a proof-of-concept. The aim being to bring together the technology pieces with the artwork.
BACKGROUND
I'm a software developer by trade. I worked in the financial industry for five years before switching to a mobile business serving the housing sector and local government. Following the sale of that mobile business, I'm investing in this venture.
Ideas for the visual style: Crisp, sharp images, bright colours. Characters have a cartoony/slapstick feel to them. Think Madagascar.
