We ( http://realitone.com ) sell virtual musical instruments. We are finishing up a fingerpicking acoustic guitar instrument called "Fingerpick" and are getting ready to create an interface. I have attached examples of GUI's from our other products. The first is called "Acoustic Lite" and I wish i could just use it again, but of course, I cannot.
This must be done in PhotoShop, since I will need to make changes as things progress, and PhotoShop is the only program I know. Size is 633 pixels wide. Height is open.
Structurally, the interface needs to have a set of controls (knobs and stuff), very similar to my Acoustic Lite example, although they can be placed wherever things look best artistically. You do not need to design the actual knobs (I can do that here), although I'm certainly open to your vision.
This fingerpicking library is acoustic, so the art needs to reflect that. However, it does not necessarily have to have a "country" look. That's nice, of course, but it could also have an Ed Sheeran vibe or whatever. An actual guitar on the interface would be nice, or even a silhouette of a player, or maybe just a closeup of fingers on the strings. Whatever looks cool.
It would also be good to have a logo of "Fingerpick" on the GUI. Actual logo design could be a separate gig, though, so don't stress on the logo. If you come up with something cool, that's great, but not the primary objective at this point.
You'll notice there are header controls and readouts in the three samples. Those have to be exactly where they are at the top. (They are not my artwork, there are placed there automatically by the host application.)
Note that I am not looking for a "final* design. There will be too many last minute changes, and I don't want to keep going back and forth, so I am looking for a design that looks cool, which I will then tweak here as the instrument finalizes. I'm decent with PhotoShop, so it's easier to do tweaks on my end. What I'm not so good at is artistic design, so that's where you get me started on the right path.
I usually do my own artwork, so I have no idea what this would cost. Please let me know what you think, and link examples of your work so I can see that we would be on the same page. Thank you!
