What I am looking to do is develop a set of different characters and scenes, for use as the base designs for fabric painting i.e. these will form the base, blank designs. As these will form the “patterns” for fabric painting, the character designs would need to be fairly simple, however, you would need to balance “capturing the essence of the scene/character” versus leaving out much of any fine detail (fine detail is too difficult to fabric paint). Please see attached file for further information.
The theme is gypsies, however, I would be looking for typical eastern European gypsy scenes (as opposed to gypsies in other parts of the world). I would like slightly romantic versions of gypsies to be used, however, whilst still keeping close to the real thing (for example, I would want the gypsies to be slim rather than overweight). I have many ideas of what I envisage are typical characters and scenes as well as quite a few photos which I will attach to give you some ideas– Please see attached file for further information.
In total, for this quote, I would like 2 different scenes with around 10 characters in each scene. We should obviously start with 1 scene before moving onto the other. The characters and scenes would be in black ink and can initially be done on normal A4 paper.
