Design of logo for online business selling surplus stock

An illustrative logo showing a likeable but eccentric character who deals in surplus goods. Our character's name is Arthur Wombat. Legend has it that he rides around the country on a vintage motorbike and sidecar, seeking out bargains. He probably wears big boots, an old cloth cap and a scarf. He may actually be a Wombat, but no-one knows for sure, because very few people have met him.
The logo must be useable as a reasonably small image on the web, but also have the detail that would make it interesting and memorable for larger uses (eg flags and banners) Can be colour or mono.
