Box design should be internal gloss black printed heavy card tray and text/picture printed outer sleeve in heavy card with one blocked end to stop tray falling out, mainly in black and carry a small amount of Information to be provided. Should look classy, carry at least one photo, to be supplied,
Outer card sleeve should have hanging tag at opposite end to closed end of outer sleeve. So tray cannot fall out when hung up.
Background design on black sleeve could be of several acoustic guitars lined up in faint outline. I will find a suggestion.
It could also carry a Union Flag in corner of top of front of sleeve.
The info needs to be in form for me to present to professional printers in two common usable formats such as pdf.
The Pickup is a magnetic soundhole pickup for acoustic guitar. You will see a similar type online with the:
LR Baggs M1 Active,
although that is in off white plastic. Ours is in satin black metal.
Please state if your portfolio all of real products on the market, or of sample designs?
If we do decide to choose you, I think I would probably mail you the real parts that need to be held together in the box, which is the clamp in metal pickup, cable with jack on end, to be coiled up and some small parts and maybe 9v PP3 battery in tiny press fit clear plastic bag, which might fit in the metal battery holder clamp on the pickup, or maybe held differently. There is nothing complicated, but it needs to be neat and easy to put in any out, even by people who do not know any assembly procedures, such as shops selling it.
It would need a cardboard inner, which could support the pickup, which would enable shops to take the pickup in and out to show customers easily, without it all becoming a mess. The card inner would have to be easy to make by the printer/box manufacturer with minimum hand work. They can make in solid card or thicker corrugated card, in layers etc.
Foam is another possibility, but I would prefer not to use foam, as it slows down manufacture and adds higher contract out costs and tends to add shipping bulk, plus card will be fine for this job, so long as not much hand assembly work.
I did think about a plastic window in box, but believe it is not worth the extra cost, the critical assembly/ re-assembly and the fragility. Instead to use pics of product on box.
Please give me some idea as to timescale to start and finish what is not a huge job?
