Banner design and new Colour scheme for wordpress blog

I have a Wordpress blog which has been designed to my personal specifications but needs to be finished.

At this stage, I am looking for someone to apply a different colour scheme to the blog and make me an eye-catching. banner to go across the top (to replace the existing one). I also want a bit of tidying up here and there, but nothing major (I'm a freelancer myself so I won't take the p!).

Although my budget is tight for this job, once I have the site up and running, if it produces some fruit, there will be further developments. I also work as a copywriter and often have clients needing web work doing, so there's potential to refer work to the right person.
