Art and graphic design for music software

Design details: I am currently in the process of designing and coding my own music software instrument.

The project will be done in three main stages; two of which I am able to handle myself. But I am looking for someone with a good artistic eye to design the artwork (background images) as well as build upon the theme with custom icons for the interface (dials, faders, logo etc).

This project is currently still in its early stages and the project completion date isn't for 6 - 8 months at least, so I am looking for a long term investor in the project.

The right applicant will be able to obtain my concept and build upon it with their own vision. I'm looking for exciting and fresh designs that will intrigue and make users want to interact with it.

This is currently just the first project, but for the right designer if they are able to get on board I am open to discuss becoming a team and working together on future projects.

Having a history with music software isn't necessary, but could be interesting.

I will reveal more details about the project when in further discussion.

I will say that the concept for this particular project is around nature and found sounds.

The quoted price is more for an initiation fee, as stated earlier; I am looking for someone who will become passionate about this project and will be interested in sticking with it long term.

Being in the UK would be helpful. I would be wanting to hold the occasional briefing via Skype to keep ideas flowing.
