Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Design details: Hi there,
The project site has a history and an uncertain future. The location has been shaped and continues to be shaped by global and local political, economic, social and cultural change. Our changing attitudes to the monarchy and the poor, to private retreat and museums and cultural destinations need to be considered. The required outcome is to research, interpret and assemble a graphic representation of the existing site. Timelines, maps and architectural plans should be used to structure information but the emphasis needs to be upon the broader themes that have defined the site.
Identify clear narrative strands that have influenced the development and may shape the future of the site; history of the occupants, current and projected demographics, history of the built fabric and changes of use, the major historical, political, economic events, potential stakeholders in the future of the site, past and current contents......... Simple layers of information can then be combined to form a coherent, readable and engaging graphic representation of the research.
The project needs the following elements below:
* A large format graphic presentation; historical and social context of the
site
*An ‘opportunity Map’; drawing identifying stakeholders, audience, funding,
Below I have attached some references as examples of the type of work I would desire this research to be represented/conducted like..
Your experience in both Architecture and Graphics drew me to approach you for this project. I hope you can help :)
Many Thanks,
Rose.
