Webbanner for vintage tattoo website

Design details: I Need tue Banner of our Website to be done wmd I also Need the same /a similar one as a banner for YouTube, only difference are the dimensions. The website banner should be 1600x200pixels. I will insert a picture of the old banner and also the photo we used. And a picture of our new logo. We are quite happy with the banner we just want the new logo to replace the old one and we don't like that the photo is basically just sitting there without a nice blending to the white background of the logo. So we would like that to look a bit smoother. Maybe you have an idea to make it all look a bit more like one image instead of two next to each other. It all should keep its simple character though.
